Growing up, did you ever think your father was a pushover? In our latest survey for Vitabiotics, Britain’s Dads were revealed to be the more lenient parent.

Our poll of 2,000 parents revealed mums are the ones who call the shots when it comes to their children’s homework and whether they eat all their food at dinner.

But dads are laying down the law with their children’s behaviour and discipline.

The stats emerged in a study by children’s vitamins Wellkid, which also revealed four in 10 say they and their partner often adopt a ‘good cop, bad cop’ approach to parenting.

A Vitabiotics spokesman said: ‘Parents often have to work as a team when it comes to raising their children, with one of them taking the lead when it comes to being ‘the strict one’

This project was commissioned by Vitabiotics to uncover how the strictness of parents in the household varies, reaching 160 pieces of coverage including top-tier digital nationals such as; The Daily Mail, Mirror, Scotsman and The Star.
