OnePoll has recently worked in collaboration with Nestle Professional to conduct research as part of their BuzzBites report series looking at the current issues facing the food industry. Our research features in their first quarterly report “BuzzBites report: Good food, Good Life” which focusses on the issues of nutrition, health and wellness and the impact of these things on the food and restaurant industry.
The survey found that 69% would like to see ‘fresh’ dishes and ‘healthy’ options on menus indicating a change in attitudes of the types of foods consumers are choosing to eat when they go out to eat. In fact, 56% of casual diners would be more willing to go to a restaurant offering healthy options on the menu. 37% also stated that they would like clearer calorie labelling on menus, with 50% of respondents viewing healthy options as just as tasty and appealing as unhealthier alternatives.
The research conducted in collaboration with Nestle Professional landed on a number of food and drink or restaurant related sites including The Caterer, Bar Magazine, Ooh Magazine and Eat Out Magazine.
