65% of consumers believe it is their responsibility to determine whether financial advice may be helpful, according to our survey for Aegon.
The survey of 2,000 UK adults was part of a larger research project by the firm in an attempt to define advice designed for consumers in its response to the Financial Advice Market Review.
It was also revealed that 56% of advisers believe it is their responsibility to educate consumers when it is advisable for them to take financial advice.
